When I say this was the ULTIMATE grad session, that’s still an understatement.
Hannah brought me from SA to Austin for her grad photos – since I couldn’t be there to scout until day of, she walked around campus and made a literal map with all the spots she wanted to hit. She had her mom, JJ, bring along a wagon, changing tent, and all the outfits. This girl had such a clear vision for her photos, tons of inspiration, but at the same time put her full trust in me to fit the locations, her, light, clothes, you get the picture.
This wasn’t a typical grad session by any means (3 hours long, driving and walking across campus), and now I’m not sure I can go back to anything less.
You’ve ruined me, Hannah.
Hannah was both so clear in what she wanted, but incredibly trusting and open to all my interpretations, ideas, etc. I cannot stress enough that when you relinquish control, the magic happens. When you work with me, we will go over the vision. I’ll create mood boards and even a storyline for us to refer to. Going in on the same page, with the knowledge of what direction we are taking, is helpful for both you and me.
So, Hannah’s vision was –
“I’m looking for some b&w style photos with a boss bitch vibe but also like a spin of old money typa stuff.”
